@ 1306 Wealth and status without belief and good deeds will not bring you close to Allah 34:34-39
34:34 We never sent a warner to a village except that those (who lived) in luxury said, 'We disbelieve in the Message you have been sent with!'
# وَمَا أَرْسَلْنَا فِي قَرْيَةٍ مِّن نَّذِيرٍ إِلاَّ قَالَ مُتْرَفُوهَا إِنَّا بِمَا أُرْسِلْتُم بِهِ كَافِرُونَ 34
34:35 And they said, 'We have been given an abundance of wealth and children we shall never be punished!'
# وَقَالُوا نَحْنُ أَكْثَرُ أَمْوَالاً وَأَوْلادًا وَمَا نَحْنُ بِمُعَذَّبِينَ 35
34:36 Say, 'My Lord outspreads and withholds His provision to whomsoever He will. But most people do not know.'
# قُلْ إِنَّ رَبِّي يَبْسُطُ الرِّزْقَ لِمَن يَشَاءُ وَيَقْدِرُ وَلَكِنَّ أَكْثَرَ النَّاسِ لاَ يَعْلَمُونَ 36
34:37 It is neither your riches nor your children that shall bring you close in nearness to Us, except he who believes and does good work. For those their awaits a double recompense for their deeds, they shall live in safety in their lofty chambers.
# وَمَا أَمْوَالُكُمْ وَلاَ أَوْلادُكُم بِالَّتِي تُقَرِّبُكُمْ عِندَنَا زُلْفَى إِلاَّ مَنْ آمَنَ وَعَمِلَ صَالِحًا فَأُوْلَئِكَ لَهُمْ جَزَاءُ الضِّعْفِ بِمَا عَمِلُوا وَهُمْ فِي الغُرُفَاتِ آمِنُونَ 37
34:38 But those who labor to negate Our verses shall be arraigned in to the punishment.
# وَالَّذِينَ يَسْعَوْنَ فِي آيَاتِنَا مُعَاجِزِينَ أُوْلَئِكَ فِي العَذَابِ مُحْضَرُونَ 38
34:39 Say, 'My Lord outspreads and withholds His provision to whomsoever He will of His worshipers. Whatsoever you expend He will replace it. He is the Best of providers.'
# قُلْ إِنَّ رَبِّي يَبْسُطُ الرِّزْقَ لِمَن يَشَاءُ مِنْ عِبَادِهِ وَيَقْدِرُ لَهُ وَمَا أَنفَقْتُم مِّن شَيْءٍ فَهُوَ يُخْلِفُهُ وَهُوَ خَيْرُ الرَّازِقِينَ 39
